Raised in the Woods, Building a Business in Town
Dustin Snyder, owner and operator of Snyder's Outdoor Solutions, grew up in the woods around Hagerstown, Maryland — learning to run a chainsaw before most kids his age were old enough to drive. His dad was a logger, and every weekend from early on was spent on a job — dropping trees, clearing lots, hauling wood. By the time Dustin was a teenager, he knew how to read a tree, rig a limb, and leave a jobsite looking like a crew had actually been there.
When he started Snyder's Outdoor Solutions, the goal was never to be the biggest tree service in the region. It was to be the one homeowners could actually trust — the crew that shows up when they say, quotes flat-rate, and treats the property the way the customer would treat it themselves. Ten years later, a lot of the work still comes from the same handful of neighborhoods, from customers who call Dustin's cell directly. He's still part of every job, too — either on site with the crew or one phone call away.
The company has grown past pure tree work into a broader outdoor solutions business — wood products, plant health, holiday lights, and more — but the tree service is still the anchor. Every new service extension gets tested against the same rule: if Dustin can't stand behind the quality personally, it doesn't get offered.

It's a real operation with real capacity, not a pickup-and-chainsaw side hustle.
Everybody on the crew has been trained on safe rigging and climbing, and nobody is running a saw without the experience behind it. We don't send untrained help out to a residential job — the work is too unforgiving for on-the-job education.
